Your day-to-day responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for mission critical projects, including HVAC, cooling systems, and fire protection systems.
• Collaborate with electrical and plumbing teams to deliver fully integrated MEP solutions.
• Perform calculations, simulations, and detailed engineering analyses to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met within timeframes and budgets.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with Portuguese and international regulations, standards, and codes relevant to mission critical projects.
• Conduct site inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting as needed.

The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

• Registered member of Ordem dos Engenheiros (Portugal)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years specifically in mission critical projects
• Proven experience in designing energy-efficient and sustainable MEP systems for critical facilities
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and simulation tools such as CFD for thermal analysis
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken)
