Role Description

The Investment Banking Analyst will work closely with the Managing Director to execute strategic transactions and provide actionable insights for KYBORA’s clients. This Cargo demands a detail-oriented and proactive individual with strong financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills. The Analyst will play a critical role in supporting M&A, licensing, fundraising, and strategic consulting engagements, contributing to the successful execution of high-impact projects. This Cargo also offers direct client interaction, providing a unique opportunity to influence critical projects and deliver impactful solutions that advance our clients’ strategic goals.

It is a hands-on Cargo, ideal for a driven finance professional with 1-3 years of experience who is building a focused career at the intersection of investment banking and healthcare.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, Series 79, 63) is a plus.

· Experience: 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related financial field. Experience in life sciences or healthcare is preferred. Ability to independently manage analytical workstreams and contribute to transaction execution is expected from day one.

· Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and financial modeling. Familiarity with financial databases and research tools.

· Analytical Acumen: Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a keen ability to assess business opportunities, risks, and the strategic value of assets across development and commercial stages.

· Scientific Literacy: Ability to read and interpret clinical data, regulatory filings, and scientific literature in the context of asset valuation and transaction analysis.

· Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior professionals and clients.

· Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

· Global Perspective: Understanding of cross-border transactions and the global biopharma landscape. Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

Specific Responsibilities for the Healthcare Investment Banking Analyst Cargo:

· Financial Analysis and Modeling

o  Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate transactions, including valuations, merger implications, and investment returns.

o  Conduct sensitivity analyses to assess financial and strategic outcomes across different development and commercial scenarios.

· Industry and Market Research

o  Conduct comprehensive research on biopharma companies, assets, and market trends - spanning preclinical, clinical, regulatory, and commercial dynamics - to support transaction origination and execution.

o  Interpret and synthesize scientific and clinical data, regulatory filings, and medical literature to assess asset value and inform strategic recommendations for clients.

o  Develop insights to guide strategic recommendations for clients.

· Pitch and Presentation Development

o  Prepare high-quality pitch books, presentations, and other marketing materials for client meetings.

o  Collaborate with senior team members to create compelling, client-focused deliverables.

· Transaction Support

o  Lead analytical preparation for deal execution, including financial analyses, due diligence coordination, and drafting key transaction documents such as offering memoranda and investor presentations

· Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams

o  Work closely with colleagues in different geographies and functions to support global client engagements.

o  Actively contribute to team discussions and provide solutions to complex challenges.

· Client Interaction

o  Contribute to client interactions by preparing materials, attending meetings, and taking ownership of follow-through on action items.

o  Build and maintain strong working relationships with client teams and stakeholders

· Continuous Improvement

o  Monitor industry best practices and stay updated on financial techniques, scientific developments, and tools to enhance KYBORA’s analytical capabilities.
