Job Summary:

We are seeking a Portuguese Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the development of high-quality, online, self-paced learning resources for students in the K1–K9 segment. The SME will collaborate closely with instructional designers to ensure academic accuracy, curriculum alignment, and effective pedagogical practices.

This role is available in both part-time (20 hours/week) and full-time (40 hours/week) engagement models.

Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities

• Support the instructional design team in the creation, review, and validation of online self-paced teaching and learning materials for K1–K9 students.
• Provide subject matter expertise in Portuguese language instruction.
• Ensure content accuracy, grade-level appropriateness, and alignment with defined learning objectives.
• Review lesson plans, activities, assessments, scripts, and related instructional materials.
• Offer pedagogical insights and recommendations to improve learner engagement and comprehension.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project quality standards and timelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have

• Proven experience as a Portuguese Language Teacher.
• Teaching experience in the grade level(s) for which the SME is engaged (K1–K9).
• Strong understanding of school-level curriculum and pedagogy.

Good to Have

• Prior experience as a Subject Matter Expert or in curriculum/content development.
• Exposure to digital, blended, or online learning environments.

Additional Information

• This is a new requirement.
• Role is offered on a contractual basis.
• Fully remote opportunity.
• Flexible engagement: 20 hours/week or 40 hours/week, based on candidate availability and project needs.
