Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join one of our major clients, a leading technology solutions provider specialised in advanced digital services for telecom and enterprise environments.

Localização: Lisbon (hybrid)

What you will do

• Develop advanced NLP and LLM-based solutions, including text preprocessing, embeddings, transformers and fine‐tuned models.

• Build and optimize machine learning and deep learning models for real-world applications such as chatbots, sentiment analysis, recommendation engines, multimodal systems, and forecasting.

• Design, implement and maintain cloud-based ML pipelines using services such as AWS SageMaker, Azure ML or Vertex AI.

• Apply MLOps best practices, including model versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, reproducibility and automated deployment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, architecture) to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.

What you are like

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field.

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer or similar.

• Strong knowledge of Python and key libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).

• Experience with NLP (tokenization, embeddings, classical models, transformers, LLM fine‐tuning).

• Solid understanding of Deep Learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers).

• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP) and ML services (SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML).

• Knowledge of MLOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, DVC and CI/CD pipelines.

• Additional experience with multimodal models, recommender systems, time series or reinforcement learning is considered a strong plus.
