We are looking for a Host who treats her station as her territory — and her responsibility.

The Role

As a Host at Courage Bistro, you are the Primeira impression of the restaurant. Through a warm, natural presence and an awareness of everything happening in the room, you make every guest feel expected from the moment they arrive — while helping each service run with intention and flow.

You manage reservations, guide the rhythm of the dining room, and keep the team informed and one step ahead.

What You Own

Guest Reception & Presence

• Welcome every guest with eye contact, a smile, and genuine warmth
• Escort guests to their tables and assist with coats, bags, and menus
• Anticipate needs before they are expressed
• Make every guest feel expected
• Turn waiting time into a comfortable and thoughtful experience

Reservations & Floor Management

• Own the full reservation flow — bookings, confirmations, special requests, and no-show prevention
• Manage the waitlist strategically to maximize table turns
• Allocate tables while maintaining balance across the floor team
• Provide accurate wait times for walk-ins and manage expectations confidently
• Brief the team before service on arrivals, special occasions, allergies, and important notes

Communication & Organization

• Keep the team informed and one step ahead throughout service
• Answer phone calls and handle reservation requests professionally
• Keep the host stand clean, organized, and service-ready
• Escalate guest complaints, arrivals, technical issues, and large group bookings to the Team Leader
• Confirm Seguinte day's reservations and record any relevant notes for the team

Who You Are

• You have a calm, confident, and warm presence — and when you're at your best, the entire room feels it
• You have experience as a Hostess in restaurants for 1 year minimum
• You can keep multiple things in mind at once without losing your composure
• You notice when something is off before anyone tells you
• You are comfortable communicating in both English and Portuguese
• Attitude, attention to detail, and presence matter more than experience
