We’re looking for a R&D Project Manager to join our team. What you will do: You will manage our portfolio of national and European R&D projects, from proposal to execution stage, working closely with internal technical teams and external partners from the scientific and industrial ecosystem. You will be responsible for aligning project goals with our product roadmap, leading work packages, coordinating deliverables, and identifying new funding opportunities. You’ll collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure that R&D activities translate into tangible innovation, while ensuring compliance with deadlines, reporting obligations, and funding requirements. Manage national and European R&D projects, including publicly funded initiatives; Lead Work Packages (WPs) and ensure the technical and administrative execution of planned activities; Identify funding opportunities and open calls aligned with the company’s strategy and innovation roadmap; Coordinate the preparation of project proposals, involving internal teams and external partners; Build and manage relationships with scientific and technological system stakeholders (universities, research centers, clusters); Align R&D project goals with product development strategy, both at the proposal and execution stages; Prepare technical deliveries and progress reports in compliance with funder requirements; Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables; Willingness to travel nationally and internationally in the context of project execution. What we look for: Degree in Engineering, Science, Innovation Management, or related fields; A postgraduate degree or certification in project management (e.g., PMP, IPMA, Agile) is a plus; Proven experience in managing R&D or innovation projects, preferably with public funding (e.g., Horizon Europe, PRR, PT2020/PT2030); Strong understanding of project management methodologies and reporting requirements; Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners; Ability to interpret technical and scientific content, aligning it with product development goals; Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Solid organizational, planning, and budgeting skills; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
