We're looking for an experienced Team Lead Developer with strong technical expertise in Node.js & React and a solid background in leadership, to join our growing fintech development team in Limassol, Cyprus. You will lead a cross-functional team working on a payment integration platform, contributing directly to architecture, delivery, and team growth.
Important: This is an On-Site Cargo in Lisbon
This is an on-site Cargo based at our office in the Lisbon Metropolitan area. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available once you join the team.

Your Mission
Design and implement robust solutions that power our payments platform, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. You will contribute to building seamless integrations with banks and payment providers while actively participating in the evolution of a cutting-edge fintech product.
Responsibilities:
Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
Hiring and training technical personnel.
Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
Liaising with team members and management to ensure projects are completed to standard.
Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
Delegating work and assignments to team members.
Collaborating with their team to identify and fix technical problems.
Lead the development of our in-house fintech platform with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
Build and manage complex payment API integrations with banks, PSPs, and third-party services.
Contribute to backend development, ensuring consistency and stability across the product.
Actively participate in developing new features from concept to production.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders in agile workflows to ensure technical feasibility and business alignment.
Support the evolution of the architecture towards modern patterns (microservices, messaging systems, and scalable infrastructure).
Requirements:
At least 8+ years of professional experience in the IT field.
3+ years of experience in leadership Cargos.
3+ years of commercial experience with Node.js.
5+ years of commercial experience in web development.
Knowledge of JavaScript and the ECMAScript 6 standards.
Commercial experience in implementing REST and WebSockets.
Experience with Git version control system.
Experience with commercial databases, MySQL.
Experience with RabbitMQ.
Experience with Redis.
B2 level of English.
Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong leadership and organizational abilities.

2. Technical Assessment (HackerRank): A short coding challenge designed to evaluate your technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
3. Technical Interview: An in-depth discussion about your technical expertise, hands-on experience, and approach to solving real-world problems.
4. Final Interview with the Hiring Team: A conversation with team members and leadership to assess cultural fit, collaboration style, and alignment with the team's goals.
5. Offer: If everything goes well, we'll move forward with a formal offer to join our team.
