Localização: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite per week)

About the Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Data Solutions Engineer to join one of our clients to help grow a Private Equity business and improve how they use data across the organisation. This is a hybrid technical and business-facing role suited to someone who can engage with non-technical stakeholders, understand operational challenges, and build practical data-driven solutions. You will take ownership of designing integrations, improving reporting and dashboards, implementing AI-driven workflows, and helping the business make better use of its existing systems and data sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data solutions, integrations, dashboards, and reporting workflows
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Improve data accessibility and automate manual reporting processes
  • Integrate internal and external data sources using APIs, automation tools, or data pipelines
  • Explore and implement AI/LLM use cases to improve operational efficiency and business insights
  • Advise the business on tooling, data architecture, and process improvements
  • Ensure solutions follow security and GDPR best practices

Requirements:

  • 6 – 10+ Years’ experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or similar role, with proven experience designing and implementing data structures, integrations, reporting solutions, dashboards, and end-to-end data workflows
  • Experience migrating, standardising, and analysing datasets to deliver tangible business insights
  • Industry experience within Banking, Financial Services, or a related finance environment, with a solid understanding of financial workflows
  • Excellent communication and consultative stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with non-technical and executive-level stakeholders
  • Proven experience architecting and implementing data and software solutions to solve business challenges
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing integrations between software systems and data sources
  • Experience working with AI/LLM technologies (ideally Claude) to improve workflows, automate processes, or extract insights from data
  • Good understanding of security, governance, and GDPR considerations when designing solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including evaluating tooling and recommending best-fit solutions
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g. AssetClass CRM or similar) is highly desirable
