We are looking for a Senior Data Product Manager with more than 5 years of experience in the data field as a Product Manager / Product Owner with a technical background to join a project in an international tech hub environment. This role focuses on transforming data delivery into a data-as-a-product approach, aligning strategic goals with execution, and building scalable data solutions. The work model is hybrid, with 2 days per week in the office and 3 days remote. The start date is as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Align the data team’s work with strategic priorities and technical frameworks, including cross-functional collaboration with the Frankfurt hub.
• Lead initiatives end-to-end, from ideation through execution, and manage the full product lifecycle.
• Define and implement governance frameworks, data quality standards, and metadata management strategies.
• Work closely with platform users to ensure each development delivers tangible value.
• Drive priorities and roadmaps to support the creation of scalable and impactful data solutions.
• Implement agile ways of working such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban to support efficient team workflows.
• Promote the shift toward a data-as-a-product mindset, with a focus on resilient and high-quality solutions that address internal and external needs.

Must-Have Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in the data field as a Product Manager or Product Owner with a technical background.
• English proficiency.
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture patterns, analytics engineering, and scalable data platforms.
• Strong experience in data modeling, including dimensional modeling, advanced SQL, and the application of different modeling techniques according to business needs.
• Experience designing frameworks for governance, metadata, cataloging, and alignment of product definitions.
• Familiarity with modern cloud platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform, including expertise in one or more cloud data warehouses.
• Proven ability to manage product lifecycles from ideation to delivery, including the creation of vision documents and strategies for data products or platforms.
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and solve complex problems at scale across discovery, design, and delivery phases.
• Proficiency with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
• Strong awareness of cost-effective solution design, privacy, and compliance in data.
• Conceptual understanding of CI/CD pipelines, ML workflows, feature engineering, and the definition of SLAs, data contracts, and quality agreements.
