About Unwind Studio

Unwind Studio is a modern needlepoint brand on a mission to make needle crafts feel fresh, joyful and accessible. We create artist-designed needlepoint kits with a strong focus on color, design and quality.

From our studio in Porto, we ship worldwide and nurture a growing community of stitchers who see crafting as their favorite way to slow down, unwind and reconnect with themselves. We are a small, women-led, creative team. We move fast, care deeply about details, and love ideas that make our community feel inspired and cared for.

We are seeking a highly analytical and process-oriented professional to take full ownership of our operations and end-to-end supply chain.

The Role

This pivotal role is responsible for the overall efficiency of our operational structure. It requires a holistic and strategic vision, ensuring seamless synchronization between production planning, component procurement, quality control, and global distribution.

Strategic and Operational Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Supply Chain Management:

  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Develop production forecasting models based on historical data and sales projections, ensuring an optimal balance between service levels and working capital tied up in stock.
  • Procurement and Purchasing: Identify, audit, and manage relationships with global suppliers. Negotiate contracts and lead times, ensuring strict adherence to the brand’s quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Implement rigorous stock control systems, optimizing storage space and ensuring data integrity across internal systems.

2. International Logistics and Distribution:

  • Freight and Shipping Optimization: Analyze and negotiate rates with freight forwarders and Última-mile partners, focusing on cost efficiency for key export markets such as the USA and Austrália.
  • 3PL Strategy (Third-Party Logistics): Lead the expansion project into international external warehouses, evaluating the financial and operational feasibility of local distribution centers.
  • Setup and Compliance: Ensure logistics configurations on e-commerce platforms are optimized and maintain full compliance with international customs regulations and import duties.

3. Production Planning and Efficiency:

  • Flow and Batch Management: Define production capacity and optimize batch sizes to maximize operational margins while minimizing waste and inefficiencies.
  • KPI Monitoring: Define and track critical performance indicators (e.g., sell-thru rate, lead times, stock-out rates, logistics costs vs. revenue).
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze production variances and implement corrective and preventive actions to guarantee excellence in the final product.

Required Profile

  • Academic Background: Degree in Engineering (Production, Industrial, or Management), Business Management, or Logistics.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in similar roles, preferably within e-commerce or export-oriented companies.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools
  • Language Skills: Full professional proficiency in English (mandatory), with the ability to conduct technical and commercial negotiations.
  • Core Competencies: Strong sense of responsibility, organizational rigor, resilience, and an unwavering focus on meeting deadlines and business objectives.

What We Offer
