Head of Commercial Partnerships, 5B

Localização: Remote working from UK, Portugal or Malta. Salary: UK £98,000 - £115,000; EU €84,000 - €98,000.

Blexr is a performance marketing Empresa with a portfolio of iGaming affiliate sites operating across Tier 1 and Tier 2 markets globally. We sit at the intersection of SEO, paid media, and strategic commercial partnerships in the iGaming space, and we are deliberate about how we grow. We are mid-way through a significant transformation of our commercial function, moving from a transactional sales operation to a strategic, data-led commercial team. This is a senior, hands-on leadership Cargo in a period of transformation.

This role reports directly to the VP Commercial and serves as a key leader within the 12-person Commercial division. It manages a team of three Account Management direct reports and collaborates with the Commercial Performance Lead, Commercial Admin team, and VP Commercial to drive commercial outcomes. You will lead the partnerships function, build long-term commercial value, and own the business development function.

You will also lead and develop a team of Account Managers, take direct ownership of key partner relationships, elevate engagement to senior stakeholders, lead high-value negotiations, and ensure partnerships meet clear commercial objectives. You will identify and unlock new opportunities across markets and partners, and ensure decisions are grounded in data and aligned with broader strategy.

This role combines leadership, execution and build. You will set direction, drive performance, improve processes, and build a scalable model. This is not a role with a fixed playbook; you will help create one.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Your success will be measured across three core areas: team performance, partner quality, and commercial output. The responsibilities sit under these areas.

Team Leadership & Account Management

  • Manage and develop a team of Account Managers, providing direction and day-to-day oversight of partner portfolios
  • Act as the conduit between the AM team and the VP Commercial, filtering, shaping, and escalating where needed
  • Be the Primeira approver on deals before they reach VP level, evaluating rate, structure, partner quality, and strategic fit
  • Foster a high-performance team culture where commercial thinking is the standard

Partner Relationships & Business Development

  • Elevate Tier 1 partner relationships to senior levels (head of affiliates, marketing/director)
  • Lead negotiations on strategic accounts and high-value deals
  • Identify and develop new partner opportunities within existing and new markets
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships across the iGaming affiliate ecosystem

Deal Quality & Commercial Standards

  • Enforce deal quality standards with rate benchmarking, terms review, and partner credibility assessment
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Performance Lead to use performance data in partner discussions
  • Promote the shift from volume-driven to value-driven account management

Operational Efficiency & Process Development

  • Define and implement workflows across the partnerships function, from origination to onboarding and ongoing management
  • Identify inefficiencies and build structured solutions to improve deals, performance reviews, and partner information management
  • Work with the VP Commercial and Commercial Performance Lead to ensure tools, cadences and standards are in place
  • Build a scalable function with repeatable processes

Cross-Channel & Strategic Alignment

  • Develop Blexr's multi-channel proCargo across organic SEO and paid media, and pitch blended deals to senior partner contacts
  • Collaborate on commercial strategy, partner prioritisation, and the quarterly/annual roadmap
What We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Proven experience in iGaming affiliation with understanding of how affiliate programmes work, deal structures, and partner operations
  • Experience heading up or senior managing an account management or partnerships team in an iGaming affiliate business
  • Established relationships across iGaming operators with credibility at senior levels
  • Strong commercial instincts and ability to negotiate at senior levels
  • Genuine business development capability to originate new relationships
  • Track record of elevating partner relationships to senior levels
  • Ability to define and build processes and workflows from scratch
  • Comfort with ambiguity and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to balance leadership with personal commercial output

Strongly Preferred

  • Familiarity with multi-channel affiliate proCargos and blended deals
  • Experience using CRM systems and performance data to inform decisions
  • Exposure to unregulated or emerging markets alongside established regulated ones
