Job description
The Head of Digital Service Platforms is responsible for the management, development and delivery of digital services to the consumer across the different channels (websites, apps, online portals,…). The Head of Digital Platforms reports to the CIO and is a member of the IT leadership team.
Size of the team: 5 direct reports and a total team of 35 Team Members.
The head of Digital Platforms supports the overall digital strategy. Co-developing and executing the strategy for the Digital Platforms domain. Managing the team responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of the digital services platforms. Leading the Design of Solutions in digital services platforms. Delivering projects in digital services platforms. Working with other departments within the organization to ensure that Digital platforms are aligned with the overall business strategy and can support its continuous evolution. Supporting the collection and analysis of data from digital services platform to improve user experience and drive business growth. Assuring alignment and compliance. Staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in digital services.
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate hands-on experience in the design, selection, implementation and continuous evolution of enterprise digital platforms.
Essential experience includes:
Proven experience managing and evolving large-scale corporate websites and digital customer platforms. Hands-on experience implementing enterprise websites, from solution design through deployment and go-live. Demonstrated experience delivering international or multi-País/multisite web platform implementations. Extensive experience leading the full lifecycle of a commercial DXP/CMS implementation, including: requirements gathering; RFP creation and vendor evaluation; solution selection; implementation; rollout and adoption. Strong knowledge of the Digital Experience Platform (DXP) market and experience selecting the most appropriate solution based on business and technical requirements. Experience steering and challenging implementation partners, system integrators and project delivery teams on architecture, quality, timelines and technical decisions. Experience delivering multisite implementations across multiple countries, ideally beyond a single-market environment. Experience in international roll-outs outside Portugal is considered a strong asset. Strong understanding of modern web technologies, content management, personalization, SEO, analytics and digital marketing ecosystems. Ability to bridge business, marketing and IT, translating business needs into scalable digital platform solutions. Strong IT experience in B2 C Marketing environment.
