We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 5+ years of experience supporting mission-critical environments on AWS.

You will join an international team responsible for the end-to-end support of database platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability across multiple services and technologies.

This role offers the opportunity to work on international projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to current and future technology decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and configuration of database systems
• Performance monitoring and database tuning
• Query optimization and troubleshooting
• Workload management and capacity planning
• Supporting the database layer across multiple services and technologies
• Ensuring reliability and performance of mission-critical environments
• Collaborating with global teams on international projects

Technical Requirements

Must have experience with:

• AWS RDS
• Aurora PostgreSQL
• Aurora/MySQL
• Amazon Redshift
• Database performance tuning and optimization

Nice to have experience with:

• AWS S3
• AWS IAM
• AWS Lambda
• AWS CloudWatch

The ideal candidate has:

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
• Master's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills (technical and business level)
• Ability to collaborate with different levels across the organization
• Strong team player with a pragmatic approach to problem solving
• Motivation to grow and continuously improve
• Willingness to share knowledge and experience with the team

Language Requirements

• English: B2 (Upper-Intermediate) minimum – written and spoken

Work Model

• Hybrid – 3 days per week in the Porto office
• On-call rotation: Approximately 1 week per month
