We are looking for an Accounting Controller (Financial Consolidation) to join our growing Finance team in Porto. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a multinational organization, work closely with international stakeholders, and play a key role in the group's financial reporting and consolidation processes.

Your Mission

As an Accounting Controller, you will support the quarterly IFRS closing process, with a primary focus on the French reporting perimeter. You will work alongside finance, accounting, and consolidation teams to ensure accurate reporting, data quality, and compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate actively in quarterly IFRS closing activities for the French entities.
• Perform second-level reviews of financial reporting appendices.
• Conduct analytical reviews of consolidated reporting packages.
• Review financial assets in accordance with IFRS 13 (Fair Value Measurement).
• Support data quality management and issue resolution within the Shared Reporting Space (Group reporting platform).
• Collaborate with multiple departments to identify and implement process improvements during interclosing periods.
• Contribute to the optimization and automation of reporting and consolidation activities.
• Prepare analyses and reports for the Head of Consolidation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and IFRS requirements.

What We're Looking For Essential Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, or financial consolidation.

Proven hands-on experience with Financial Consolidation (mandatory).

Strong understanding of IFRS standards and financial reporting principles.

Fluency in English and French (minimum intermediate level).

Advanced Excel skills and interest in automation, reporting tools, and efficiency improvements.

Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Candidates must already reside in Porto.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience within the Banking or Insurance sectors.

Knowledge of insurance-related IFRS standards, including:

• IFRS 4
• IFRS 17
• IAS 39
• IFRS 9

Exposure to financial systems, reporting platforms, or programming tools used for automation and process optimization.
