freiheit.com is an internet pioneer that was founded in Hamburg in 1999 and develops digital online products for international clients. We have completed hundreds of projects. Our digital products are used by millions of users with thousands of requests per second and hundreds of millions to billions in revenue. We have a high reputation in our industry. We are well organized and decisive and we still keep the can-do attitude of a small start-up.
For over 25 years, we have been working for the “Whos Who” of German and European industrial and commercial companies – across all sectors. Trade, automotive, e-commerce, healthcare and more. We have ambitious targets for growth in the coming years and are therefore expanding our international team.
We currently have a team of 250 people from 30+ nations in our engineering hubs in Hamburg and Lisbon and are still growing across both hubs, especially in Lisbon. That is why we are currently looking for a People Partner - Onboarding & Member Experience who expands our experienced People Team to Lisbon for supporting every member of freiheit.com in facing future challenges. ABOUT YOUR JOB

• As part of the People Team - Onboarding & Member Experience, you take end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of a member’s lifecycle, particularly focused on the onboarding experience, since this important phase is laying the foundation to become a well-rounded member.
• From the moment a new member has decided to start their journey with freiheit.com, you will be their Newbie People Partner and guide them through their onboarding until the end of their probationary period. To build up a trustful relationship with every newbie, you conduct monthly check-in meetings to gain insights about their onboarding experience to find out how they settle within their team and our freiheit.com community and to offer them support so that they can unleash their full potential.
• As the Newbie People Partner you will also be in charge of ensuring that the Newbies team lead and mentor are equipped with all the necessary information and tools to support their new member to develop into a well-rounded software engineer.
• Due to the growth of our company, an increasingly important part of your role will be to review the scalability of operational processes in all phases of a members lifecycle and adapt them where necessary.
• You bring in your ideas, drive them forward and are accountable for your projects (e.g. member survey, cross-hub trips) that add value to all our members experience.

ABOUT YOU

• You are passionate about creating an optimal work environment for all our members, while never losing focus on your team and company goals.
• You are an empathetic person and can put yourself in the shoes of our members to support them in the best possible way. You are willing to learn something new every day.
• You improve yourself and our processes continuously. You are an honest person, have a sense of humor and want to make a difference with your ideas and your skills.
• You have a degree, preferably in psychology, anthropology or a related completed professional education, and have already gained at least two years of work experience. Career changers are also warmly welcome to apply.
• You are able to communicate in English fluently, which is important since the majority of our members have an international background. At the same time, your job implies conversations with Portuguese authorities, so very good Portuguese language skills are also a requirement.
• You can always rely on your excellent organizational skills that enable you to prioritize multiple tasks and you can quickly navigate yourself through new tools.
• Ideally you have gained previous experience with accompanying relocation processes. A plus would be a basic knowledge in labor and social security law for Portugal.
• We are very results-oriented. Everybody here is driven to take over end-2-end responsibilities and to be accountable for their own work while working in a strong team. We are looking for people who like that, too.
