Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems where artificial intelligence and data science can add value.
  • Design and develop stochastic models, simulations, and optimization algorithms to develop AI-driven business solutions.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and modeling to uncover insights and trends.
  • Use machine learning techniques and causal inference to build predictive models and algorithms.
  • Work with large and complex datasets, including structured and unstructured data.
  • Advise and mentor junior members of the data science team on advanced scientific areas.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and innovations in econometrics, causal models, and operations research.


Requirements:

  • Solid academic background with a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Mathematics, Decision Science, Operations Research, or Statistics).
  • Strong experience applying econometric, game theory, and operations research models to real-world business problems.
  • Proven hands-on experience in developing and deploying data-driven solutions using machine learning tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, R, Java, etc.), preferably Python.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Important informations:

  • Living in Portugal/ Lisbon or nearby cities.
  • Flexible Hybrid Project in Lisbon.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English.
